DBB back at Whole Foods Market

Poster: Drew's Blues Band at Whole Foods Tustin, Friday, December 7, 2012Hey folks. I’m happy to announce that we’ll be playing again at Whole Foods Market in Tustin. This time on Friday, December 7th, from 6pm-8pm. This time with a new bass player. We’re happy to have Gil Frazee providing the bottom end at this show and also singing some of your favorite blues and rockabilly tunes. Gil brings an authentic tone and has more chops than the Whole Foods meat department! As always, Richard Hassebrock will be wowing us again on guitar and vocals, and Paul Crews will be handling percussion duties with his usual panache and aplomb. Yours truly will also belly up to the mic, guitar in hand.

Last month’s gig was a blast, and Whole Foods has a legit wine bar with an extensive selection of wines and beers. Stop by for a libation before heading out to dinner or a movie, or even if you just need to restock the old larder. You won’t regret it.

November Shows: Whole Foods Tustin and Bacchus Secret Cellar

A little autumnal vino and good music...A couple of performances lined up for the month of November: Another fun-filled Foodie Friday at Whole Foods Market in Tustin November 2nd, followed up by a Saturday evening show in Irvine at Bacchus Secret Cellar on the 3rd.

Whole Foods Market Tustin asked us back after October’s hootenany, and we’re pretty sure we can kick it up a notch and raise the level of fun to just short of a full-on choreographed lindy hop with shopping carts. If you’re going to be in The District area of Tustin that Friday evening, you really need to stop by for some food, fun, and great music. If you’re not: You should be!

Bacchus Secret Cellar is a new one for me. An exceptionally intimate establishment and perfect for the three-piece that Stan Zabek has put together (with Richard Hassebrock on guitar, and yours truly). I’ve heard nothing but good things about the wine and atmosphere and it promises to be a great time. Stop by and make it a night out!

After that, things will more than likely settle down a bit through the holidays: A few jams with the Orange County Blues Players, maybe another gig or two between now and Christmas… you know how the holidays are. I am excited about a new opportunity that might be panning out for early 2013. 🙂

Stay tuned…
